VUNA VALLEY VENTURES . This magical spot  is a 6 minute drive from the coastal town of Port Edward and the beach and is uniquely situated 50 meters from the Pont entrance to the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve and River which offers our guests a unique “beach and nature” experience and with our mild winters a destination for all seasons.

VUNA VALLEY boasts spectacular views of the River gorge cliffs surrounded by thousands of indigenous trees and sub-tropical vegetation with sightings of the rare Samanga monkey, blue duicker, bush buck and the sounds and sightings of Fish Eagles, Hornbills and 250 resident bird species

 

COMFORT IN NATURE  We have created a   relaxed and friendly “bush lodge design ” which has appeal  to both our international and local guests and our various designed bedrooms  have their own separate entrances, covered patios, are air-conditioned ensuring  a  relaxed and private stay, plus the flexibility to offer various packages to suits all needs from couples to families to groups.

Meals on request are served in our communal dining -room or guests may self cater utilizing the communal braai facilities on the large entertainment patio. We also have a bar onsite and are able to cater for small functions including rustic weddings. 

STUFF TO DO Take one of our canoes and gently paddle up river through great gorge cliffs, adding an element of adventure to your day or take a gentle or strenuous hike through a botanical paradise and rejuvenate your soul. Support one of our volunteer community projects making a difference to someone in need combined with a host of outdoor activities from guided  fossil beach hikes ,  wakeboard or water ski lessons,  mountain bike an established MTB trail, scuba diving and PADI courses or qualify for your River/ Sea Skippers license or just relax on our beaches .
