Vuna Valley Ventures, owned by Dave and Terry Doveton is a great holiday destination 5 minutes inland from Port Edward and the beach. Vuna Valley is set within strolling distance to the Old Pont entrance of  the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve and River with spectacular views of the gorge cliffs.

Our property is set within 2 acres of lush sub tropical vegetation and indigenous trees teeming with plenty of bird life.

Narina Trojan: Two separate dbl rooms, separate entrances, airconditioned with covered patio and spectacular gorge cliff views with a shared bathroom. From R300 per room per night or both together R560 per night.

• Rates exclude breakfast but there is a varied menu to choose and order from on request each morning.

The above rooms are not self catering, however there is a communal lounge and dining room with a large entertainment patio with spectacular views of the mountain cliffs and forests of the Umtamvuna Reserve.

Meals, braais, seafood , picnic hampers etc are served daily on request at very reasonable prices in the communal area or guests may self cater in the communal area.

A communal separate TV lounge with DSTV and DVD player.

Reception and surrounds have ADSL , public phones, internet and fax.

Laundry service available .

BEACHES: Port Edward beach is manned by life guards and nets except during June-August when we experience the natural phenomenon the “sardine run”.

ACTIVITIES:

Vuna Valley guests have free use of our canoes and free access cards to the River and Old Pont facilities and swimming pool.

 Canoe trips. Water sports, wakeboard or surfing lessons.

Deep sea fishing or sea excursions spotting whales and dolphins.

Beach horse rides, off bike mountain rides through banana farms and edge of the Reserve.  Birding with bird guides. Hiking – x 7 hikes through the Umtamvuna Reserve  or a guided hike into the Wild Coast to experience a warm village welcome, traditional African meal and a Sangoma visit.

A 2hr (24klm) guided self drive off road dust buggy ride. An exhilarating experience with spectacular challenges and views, for all ages.

Wild Coast Casino, waterworld, ferry trip on the river and golf course
